Block17 Art Space is a newly opened, artist-run gallery, located at Bacolod’s art district. Every year since 2014, I have participated in exhibitions in Bacolod, often with a different gallery each time. Bacolod has a tightly knit artist community with a strong collaborative spirit. I find it admirable how many of these galleries are supportive towards each other, giving artists a formidable ground to expose themselves to curatorial practice and marketing on top of art making. Below are ingress photos and photos of the show itself.

There was an ongoing typhoon in the island, so there were 2 works that weren’t displayed on the opening night (due to delayed cargo) but it should be there by the time we have left.
